Tastes of the Valleys is a full-service wine bar serving over 170 wines daily, by the glass. Stop by for a relaxing visit in a comfortable cellar-like atmosphere. Sample the wines, and choose from an array of delectable appetizers, including flat bread pizza, cheese and salami, chocolate truffles and dukkah, an “addictive” Egyptian dip that combines spices, seeds and nuts. Lower glass prices and free cheeses and “nibbles” are served during Wine Madness on Thursday evenings. Open 365 days a year. Sun-Thurs Noon to 9 pm. Fri-Sat & Holidays Noon to 10 pm.

Billed as Pismo Beach’s hippest wine bar, Vino Versato offers three beers on tap and 50 different wines, many of them local. Enjoy a glass of wine in the private outdoor patio while sampling such delicacies as capocollo, salami and prosciutto with aged Gouda and baby Swiss cheese; white bean hummus with pita bread and heirloom tomatoes; spicy black bean dip with parmesan crisps, tortilla chips and toasted pine nuts; and Belgium chocolate pudding with chocolate truffles. No cover charge to hear local musician Tim Jackson perform Saturdays from 6-8:30 pm. Winemaker Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 pm. Mon-Sat 2-9 pm. Sun 4 to 8 PM. Closed Tuesday
